Our focus has been on the vibrant jazz scene in Philadelphia

As a TV producer-director and historical detective, I've had the privilege of documenting the custodians of American classical music culture, now celebrated as jazz artists. These musicians thrived during the heyday of jazz, performing in intimate clubs, engaging in jam sessions, and relishing the camaraderie of their peers while creating timeless jazz compositions.
Our focus has been on the vibrant jazz scene in Philadelphia, where we've had the opportunity to capture the essence of these remarkable artists. Many of these seasoned musicians draw inspiration from the pioneers of jazz, recounting their youth spent attending shows featuring multiple bands for a mere $4 or $6. These experiences fueled their passion, leading them to strive to recreate and preserve the essence of jazz throughout their lives.

Our mission has been to grant these extraordinary jazz artists a form of immortality by recording their live performances across various venues. Through our videos, interviews with musicians, and exploration of the Philadelphia jazz community over the past 23 to 24 years, we aim to showcase their talent, dedication, and contribution to the rich tapestry of jazz history.
